OUR SOLUTION
Infinity Global Services
We found Check Point provided a consistent level of excellence and 24x7x365 security and expert support we needed. And not just for Check Point’s own managed services, but for our Azure and AWS environments and even integration among other security providers. Check Point enabled us to collaborate successfully.
Anthony Britton, senior director of security engineering at Anthology
CHALLENGE
As education and technology services provider Anthology’s reliance on cloud service providers grew, so did the number of security vendors and security service providers they needed to manage and secure those cloud services. Recently, Anthology’s security team looked for a service to support their diverse cloud environment.
With a focus on developing learning systems, Anthology’s teams searched for specialized expertise to manage their advanced security operations. “Our customers expect secure, trusted environments—and delivering on that expectation is fundamental to everything we do. Security and data privacy are at the core of Anthology’s mission to provide intelligent, data-informed experiences that drive learner success,” said Anthony Britton, senior director of security engineering at Anthology. “We needed a partner with the same commitment and discipline around data privacy and security.”
The Anthology security team needed to find more effective ways to manage its security operations and consolidate its two managed security service providers while improving its cybersecurity outcomes.
SOLUTION
Ultimately, Anthology chose to partner with Check Point Technologies to help achieve its cyber security goals. The decision was driven by the quality and effectiveness of Check Point’s security products and managed security services, as well as Check Point’s ability to tightly integrate within Anthology’s complex cloud infrastructure and its existing mix of security tools. Critically, Infinity Global Services would enable Anthology to consolidate its managed security services providers from two providers into one.
Anthology chose Quantum Spark next-generation firewalls to deliver AI-powered threat prevention, high-speed connectivity security, and straightforward management. At the same time, Harmony Endpoint would provide comprehensive, consolidated endpoint security by combining advanced endpoint protection and response capabilities within a single agent. This would better protect Anthology against ransomware, malware, phishing, and data loss.
For end-to-end, customizable managed security—to fortify Anthology’s defenses, optimize threat detection and response, and enhance cyber maturity across its cloud environments —the team selected Infinity Global Services. “We found Check Point provided a consistent level of excellence and 24x7x365 security and expert support we needed,” explained Britton. “And not just for Check Point’s own products and services, but for our Azure and AWS environments and even integration among other security providers. Check Point enabled us to collaborate successfully,” he said.
OUTCOME
The decision to choose Infinity Global Services enabled Anthology to consolidate its two managed security services providers into one, thereby reducing costs by approximately 50% and improving service quality. Check Point’s 24/7/365 support and proactive collaboration helped Anthology reach the mature security levels and response it needed. This enabled the team to focus on threat response and program expansion rather than infrastructure maintenance. This shift in focus freed Anthology’s security team to then concentrate on strategic initiatives.
The partnership with Check Point delivered measurable improvements across multiple dimensions of Anthology’s security operations. Anthology achieved a higher level of maturity in its security operations, and the reduction in costs freed up the budget for other initiatives while ensuring that security remained the top priority it is for Anthology. “Our partnership demonstrates effective security doesn’t require increased spending when implemented strategically,” said Britton.
The onboarding and implementation process went smoothly, thanks to Check Point’s experience and support, which ensured seamless transitions. Anthology operates with confidence in its ability to protect itself, its clients, and its learners against evolving threats—a critical requirement for an education technology provider operating within a hyper-connected, cloud-driven architecture.
Finally, Anthology’s partnership with Check Point exemplifies how a strategic approach to security addresses complex, multi-faceted security challenges in the educational technology sector. By leveraging Check Point’s expertise, integration capabilities, and managed services, Anthology has consolidated security services, strengthened its security posture, reduced costs, and positioned itself for continued growth and success in a rapidly evolving threat landscape. The transformation demonstrates that with the right partner and approach, organizations can achieve both operational efficiency and enhanced security protection simultaneously.
“We’ve been able to trust that Infinity Global Services has us covered and is taking care of our infrastructure security, and we are operating confidently around the clock because Check Point is providing us the alerts we need to take action,” Britton said.
