Software Support
Software Support Lifecycle Policy Guidelines
Check Point is committed to providing support for all software products for a minimum of four years, starting from the general availability date of the product’s major version. ‘General Availability date’ is defined as the date on which a product is officially made available for purchase. In addition, Check Point aims to support a minimum of two major versions of all software products. Check Point usually ends support for a major product version only when:
- The second subsequent major product version has been released, or
- At least four years have elapsed since the release of the major version in question (which ever time period is shorter)
- The above is relevant to the following product categories listed below: (a) Security Gateway and Management; (b) Embedded Security Gateways; (c) Capsule Cloud; (d) Scalable Platforms (Maestro, 40000 & 60000); (e) Endpoint Security and Remote Access up to Jun 1, 2022
- As for Endpoint Security and Remote Access as of Jun 1, 2022, Check Point is committed to providing support for all software products for a period of at least 18 months starting from the general availability date. ‘General Availability date’ is defined as the date on which a product is officially made available for purchase. In addition, for endpoint security and remote access, Check Point will support once a year, one of the versions for an extended period of 30 months as of the GA date.

Appliance Support Lifecycle Policy Guidelines
Check Point provides a comprehensive support lifecycle for its appliances, including Software and Operating System support.
Software and Operating Systems
- The appliance and all software versions are fully supported until a successor product had become available
- The latest version of the software that was installed on the appliance is fully supported until 1 one year after Successor Product Availability Date Announcement
- Engineering Support: Maintenance releases/bug fixes are supplied until 3 three years after Successor Product Availability Date Announcement. These fixes may require a software upgrade by the customer
- End of support: Software upgrades will be supplied until 5 five years after Successor Product Availability Date Announcement to handle support issues. New software releases may require the purchase of hardware upgrades by the customer
Technical Assistance
- Full TAC support from the Check Point Technical Assistance centers is supplied until 5 five years after Successor Product Availability Date Announcement.
Hardware
- Units and parts can be replaced via Check Point’s RMA process. Check Point will provide same or similar parts or full unit replacement when needed.
- End of support: RMA process will be available until 5 five years after Successor Product Availability Date Announcement or until the official End of Support Date Announcement (whichever is earlier).
