Multi Cloud Cluster GCP+Azure - Check Point CheckMates

Multi Cloud Cluster GCP+Azure

Dear Team,

Is it possible to configure a cluster with one gateway in GCP and the secondary gateway in Azure, and make it work as a cluster?

Respondents:

Edan Leventhal: Hi Prakash,

It might be physically possible to configure such a thing but:

  1. It will not be supported.
  2. You will most likely face issues due to the gateways being handled on different "hardware", which in cluster aspects is not supported.

I suggest contacting Professional Services to assist and see if they can find an adequate solution for such a requirement.

Amir Senn: Hi Edan,

My client suggested us to do this clustering with LLB and using route 53 for domain sync.

It is possible with this add-ons.

Amir Senn: That's impossible AFAIK.

GW on cloud is doing enforcement on internal resources on that cloud vendor. I don't see how GCP GW can protect Azure resources as part of a cluster.

Kind regards, Amir Senn
