Introduction
The Check Point Support Data Collector (CPSDC) utility provides an easy and fast way to collect data such as files, logs, and commands from Gaia OS.
It is also an extension for CPInfo utility, a new flag " cpinfo -Q" represents a Quick Mode for collecting data and support collecting data from the Scalable Platform appliances.
CPSDC can work in these modes:

| Delta | Collects all files, logs, and command outputs that are specified in the configuration file. The CPSDC runs based on the configured schedule. The CPSDC collects the data only if these conditions are met: - Collects a file only if the file content changed since the last run of the CPSDC. - Collects a command output only if the command output changed since the last run of the CPSDC. - Collects a log file only if a log file was rotated (there are new log files *.1, *.2, and so on) since the last run of the CPSDC. |
CPSDC can upload the collected data to a remote server over SFTP.
The CPSDC is installed automatically on all relevant Check Point devices when Automatic Update downloads are enabled (see sk175504, section 2-B).
If Automatic Updates are disabled, you must first manually install the latest AutoUpdater Take and then install the CPSDC package manually using the steps below, in the Manual Installation section.

Manual Installation (Offline)
Instructions for Security Gateways, VSX, Maestro Hyperscale Orchestrator and Management Servers
- Download the latest CPSDC TAR from the Availability table.
- Run this command in the Expert mode:
# autoupdatercli install <Full Path to the TAR Package>
3. Note: The installation does not require a restart of Check Point services (" cpstop; cpstart") or a reboot. After it is installed, no further action is required. The future updates will be applied immediately.
Instructions for Maestro Gateways and Scalable Chassis R80.20SP and higher
- Download the latest CPSDC TAR from the Availability table.
- Copy the TAR to all other members by using the command
# asg_cp2blades -b all <Full Path to the TAR Package>
3. Run this command in the Expert mode:
# g_all autoupdatercli install <Full Path to the TAR Package>
4. Delete the TAR file from your system as it is no longer needed after installation.
Install Validation log
Make sure the package was correctly installed.
Check the /opt/CPInstLog/AutoUpdateLogs/cpsdc log file and make sure the following lines appear:

Uninstall
Run this command in the Expert mode: # autoupdatercli revert-completely cpsdc
Uninstall Validation log
Make sure the package was correctly uninstalled.
Check the /opt/CPInstLog/AutoUpdateLogs/cpsdc log file and make sure the following lines appear:

CLI Syntax
You must run the CPSDC in the Expert Mode on the command line of the Security Group.
To control the CPSDC:
cpdata_collector <CPSDC Flags>To collect the data:
cpdata_collector --run [<Run Flags>]To collect the data using "cpinfo -Q":
cpinfo -Q "-r -c"
Note: The above flags are relevant for both Main Train GWs & Scalable Platform GWs(Chassis & Maestro)
- To configure a remote SFTP server (to upload the collected data): cpdata_collector --configure-sftp-server

Logging Levels
The CPSDC has different logging levels in its log files when it runs:

To change the logging level:
- Connect to the command line on the Security Group.
- Log in to the Expert mode.
- Edit the CPSDC logging configuration file:
vi /etc/cpsdc/conf/cpsdc_logger.json
4. Change the value of the " level" parameter to the required level.
5. Save the changes in the file and exit Vi editor.
6. Copy the updated CPSDC logging configuration file to all Security Group Members:
asg_cp2blades /etc/cpsdc/conf/cpsdc_logger.json
Log Files
The CPSDC generates different log files when it runs:
