Cluster Member takes a long time to initialize (INIT) after reboot or restart

Symptoms

• After a restart with cpstop, cpstart or reboot on the cluster member, it takes a long time to initialize (INIT) and join the cluster.
• Running the "fwstart" command (after adding "-x" to the script $FWDIR/bin/fwstart (as described in sk177246) and the "cpstart debug" command, shows the delay during restart is happening during the "amw fetch" in this command:

  fw amw fetch localhost -nu

Cause

The delay is caused by a DNS query failure during restart, due to an issue on the Management Server.

Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20 starting from Take 70
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10 starting from Take 152
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81 starting from Take 99
