Symptoms
- When initiating IKEv2 tunnel from Check point to 3rd party, creating Child SA fails.
- The vpnd.elg file shows:
[vpnd PID ...]@Host[DATE TIME][ikev2] ikecrypt_decrypt: decrypted. padlen=4294967239, resulting bytes=488
[vpnd PID ...]@Host[DATE TIME][ikev2] decryptMessage: Result has 488 bytes <br>
[vpnd PID ...]@Host[DATE TIME][ikev2] Message::decodeAllPayloads: Not enough data in buffer for header of payload 1 (Nonce)
[vpnd PID ...]@Host[DATE TIME][ikev2] Message::Decode: Not all payloads were successfully decoded
[vpnd PID ...]@Host[DATE TIME][ikev2] Exchange::parseAndDecodeMessage: Failed to decode reply msg.
Solution
This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20 starting from Take 8
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10 starting from Take 93
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81 starting from Take 82
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R80.40 starting from Take 196
If you choose not to upgrade, Check Point can supply a Hotfix. Contact Check Point Support to get a Hotfix for this issue.
A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.
For faster resolution and verification, please collect CPinfo files from the Security Management Server and Security Gateways involved in the case.
