# Issues on a Check Point Appliance when restoring to a factory default image of a Dual Image after an upgrade to R81.20

**Product**: Check Point Appliances
**Version**: R81.20
**OS**: Gaia
**Last Modified**: 2023-05-21

## Symptoms

- Appliance with a Dual Image installed fails to revert to a Gaia snapshot with this error message:
_revert to 'Name_of_Image' is not supported in the current version, please refer to sk180331_
- On an appliance with a Dual Image installed, the Gaia Boot Menu does not show the Secondary Image as a revert option.
- Appliance with a Dual Image installed cannot reboot after restoring to a factory default of a Dual Image.
- " _error: attempt to read or write outside of the disk 'lvm/vg_splat-lv_log'_" might appear in this scenario during boot on an appliance with a Dual Image installed:
  1. The administrator used CPUSE to upgrade/clean install to the R81.20 version.
  2. At some point, the administrator restored the appliance to the factory defaults to the secondary image (with the name "fcd_R<version_number>").
  3. The appliance cannot complete the boot.
