Symptoms

• $FWDIR/log/fwk.elg is flooded with messages similar to the following:

cphwd_get_device_accelerated_ifs: too many interfaces (32,218) cphwd_get_device_accelerated_ifs: too many interfaces (32,218) cphwd_get_device_accelerated_ifs: too many interfaces (32,218) cphwd_get_device_accelerated_ifs: too many interfaces (32,218) cphwd_get_device_accelerated_ifs: too many interfaces (32,218)

• The affected server has over 32 physical interfaces.

Cause

This is a cosmetic issue.

Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20 starting from Take 26
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10 starting from Take 110
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81 starting from Take 87

Check Point recommends to always upgrade to the Recommended version ( Security Gateway / VSX / Security Management Server / Multi-Domain Security Management Server / SmartConsole).

For lower versions, contact Check Point Support to get a Hotfix for this issue.

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.

For faster resolution and verification, collect CPinfo files from the Management Server and Security Gateways / Cluster Members involved in the case.
