sk180723 - RADIUS authentication sent with wrong IP address for SmartConsole on Multi-Domain Security Management Server
RADIUS authentication sent with wrong IP address for SmartConsole on Multi-Domain Security Management Server
Product: Multi-Domain Security Management
Version: R80.40 (EOS), R81 (EOS), R81.10 (EOS), R81.20
OS: Gaia
Last Modified: 2025-06-23
Symptoms
- Traffic shows that the RADIUS requests leave the Multi-Domain Server with the IP address of the Multi-Domain Server regardless of which interface is used.
- Issue occurs after upgrade of Jumbo Hotfix.
Cause
If there is a Security Gateway between the Multi-Domain Server and the RADIUS server, then the Security Gateway drops the traffic from the Multi-Domain Server because of anti-spoofing, which causes RADIUS authentication to fail.
Solution
This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R82 starting from Take 25
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20 starting from Take 99
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10 starting from Take 177
If you choose not to upgrade, Check Point can supply a Hotfix. Contact Check Point Support to get a Hotfix for this issue.
A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.
