# The highest monitored VLAN over a bond interface is down after changing the bond's properties

## Product
Check Point Appliances

## Version
R80.40 (EOS), R81 (EOS), R81.10 (EOS), R81.20

## Last Modified

## Symptoms

- The VLAN configured bonded interface monitored state disappear after modifying the bonded interface properties such as when changing the bond's xmit-hash-policy algorithm or changing the LACP speed.
- The bond's highest VLAN is missing as seen in the outputs of "cphaprob -a -m if":

```
[Expert@M1:0]# cphaprob -m if
ClusterXL VLAN monitoring per interface:
Interface        | Low VLAN     | High VLAN
-----------------+--------------+------------------
bond2            | 1001         | not configured
bond1            | 1003         | not configured
```

- Setting the interface's state to off and then on resolves the issue.

```
Clish> set interface bond2.1002 state off
Clish> set interface bond2.1002 state on
[Expert@M1:0]# cphaprob -m if
ClusterXL VLAN monitoring per interface:
Interface        | Low VLAN     | High VLAN
-----------------+--------------+------------------
bond2            | 1001         | 1002
bond1            | 1003         | not configured
```

## Cause

The VLAN state is not updated after modifying the bond's configuration.
