Symptoms
- The errors below appear when you save global tcpdump with Multi-Blade Traffic Capture (
g_tcpdump -mcap):
Copying captured packets from remote SGMs to local SGM Merging capture files into [Filename] error executing mcap: capture file [Filename] has bad file name format. expecting [base file name]_X_YY, where X is the chassis ID and YY is the blade ID
- The outputs of the traffic capture are not merged:
[filename]_1_1 [filename]_1_2 [filename]_1_3 [filename]_1_4 [filename]_2_1 [filename]_2_2 [filename]_2_3
Cause
The filename specified with the "-w" parameter contains a dot (.) or dots.
Solution
This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20 starting from Take 26
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10 starting from Take 110
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81 starting from Take 89
If you choose not to upgrade, as a workaround, remove the dot or dots (.) from the filename specified with the "-w" parameter.
