Pull registry fails during a configuration pull on a Scalable Platform environment

Symptoms

Note: You recently updated the licenses, or this is a new implementation.

Cause

The "registry pull" can fail because of these three files:

These three files are responsible for the license's integrity across the Scalable Platform environment.

Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

If you choose not to upgrade, follow these instructions:

  1. Make sure you installed the licenses correctly. See sk163323: Solutions for license issues on Maestro Security Appliances.
  2. Examine these files and make sure they align with the applicable license:
    • /var/log/merge_license_file.log
    • $CPDIR/conf/cp.license
    • $CPDIR/conf/cp.license.smo

Note - It is possible that the licenses are correct, but that there is a mismatch in the number of lines each Security Group Member has on its license.
