# Pull registry fails during a configuration pull on a Scalable Platform environment

**Product**: Maestro HyperScale Firewall, Scalable Chassis
**Version**: R80.20SP (EOS), R80.30SP (EOS), R81 (EOS), R81.10 (EOS), R81.20, R82
**Last Modified**: 2025-04-20

## Symptoms

- Pull registry fails during a configuration pull on a Scalable Platform environment.

**Note**: You recently updated the licenses, or this is a new implementation.

- There is a pull_config pnote on some Security Group Members.
- The `$FWDIR/log/blade_config` file contains a "`Pull registry failed`" log.

## Cause

The "registry pull" can fail because of these three files:

- `/var/log/merge_license_file.log`
- `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license`
- `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license.smo`

These three files are responsible for the license's integrity across the Scalable Platform environment.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

- [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R82](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R82/Default.htm) starting from Take 14
- [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.20/Default.htm) starting from Take 96
- [Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/Jumbo_HFA/R81.10/Default.htm) starting from Take 173

If you choose not to upgrade, follow these instructions:

1. Make sure you installed the licenses correctly. See [sk163323: Solutions for license issues on Maestro Security Appliances](https://support.checkpoint.com/results/sk/sk163323).
2. Examine these files and make sure they align with the applicable license:
   - `/var/log/merge_license_file.log`
   - `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license`
   - `$CPDIR/conf/cp.license.smo`

**Note** - It is possible that the licenses are correct, but that there is a mismatch in the number of lines each Security Group Member has on its license.

If the issue persists, contact **Check Point Account Services** in one of these ways:
- by creating a [Non-Technical Service Request](https://help.checkpoint.com/)
- by phone - Americas: +1-972-444-6600 option 5, or International: +972-3-611-5100 option 5

#### NOTE

This solution has been verified for the specific scenario, described by the combination of Product, Version and Symptoms. It may not work in other scenarios.
