# Execution of API commands completes after a very long time

## Symptoms

- Execution of the API commands `set access-rule` and `add access-rule` completes after a very long time.

## Cause

The database is extensive, with many rules and objects, which causes the processing time for the API commands to be very long.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

**Notes:**

- Install the hotfix on the Management Server.
- The installation script stops all of the Check Point services (cpstop).
