Introduction
CPquid is a system designed to create a global identifier storage and unification infrastructure (QUID) for each service. This is important for any monitoring / telemetry solution, and it guarantees that the same identifiers are used across all data operations and reports issued by the same service and allows data correlation.
The CPquid package is installed automatically on all relevant Check Point devices when Automatic Update downloads are enabled (see sk175504, section 2-B).
If Automatic Updates are disabled, you must first manually install the latest AutoUpdater Take and then install the CPquid package manually using the steps below.
Manual Installation (Offline)
Instructions:
- Download the offline package to your computer. See the "Availability" section.
- Copy the offline package from your computer to your Check Point device to some directory (for example, /var/log/).
- Connect to the command line on your Check Point device.
- Log in to the Expert mode.
- Go to the directory with the offline package.
- Install the offline package:
- On a Security Gateway / each Cluster Member / Management Server / Log Server:
