Symptoms

Cause

The objects in the "Gateways & Servers" tab in SmartConsole of the Multi-Domain Security Management are duplicates of the original objects in each domain.

The issue occurs when these duplicate objects are not properly deleted when the original object is.

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing the Hotfix.

For faster resolution and verification, please collect CPinfo files from the Security Management Server and Security Gateways involved in the case.

Hotfix installation instructions:
Refer to sk168597 - How to install a Hotfix.

  1. CPinfo file from the Management Server involved in the case.
  2. CPinfo file from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member involved in the case.

To apply the fix, after the Hotfix installation, perform these steps:

  1. Run: $MDS_FWDIR/scripts/reload_env_vars.sh -e "RUN_LEGACY_MIRROR_CHECK=1"
  2. Restart the Multi-Domain Security Management:
    mdsstop;mdsstart

To schedule this script to run each day at X hour:

$MDS_FWDIR/scripts/reload_env_vars.sh -e "SCHEDULE_LEGACY_MIRROR_CHECK=X"
