# Blocked HTTP HEAD requests from Android devices

## Product
Security Gateways

## Version
R81.10 (EOS), R81.20, R82

## OS
Gaia

## Last Modified

## Symptoms
- Android devices generate HTTP HEAD requests to Google services through the Security Gateway proxy. The proxy blocks these requests, creating a high volume of logs (more than 37,000 in 24 hours). This excessive logging causes increased CPU usage and impacts Security Gateway performance, though Android device functionality remains unaffected.

## Cause
Android devices sending HTTP/1.1 requests without required Host header violates RFC 7230. Security Gateway proxy blocks these non-compliant requests per protocol standards and security requirements as malformed.
