# Random freezes (SSH and console) occur on appliances running in UPPAK mode

## Symptoms

- Running `tcpdump` on all interfaces (i.e., `tcpdump -peni any | grep <IP address>`) with SecureXL in User (UPPAK) mode while under heavy traffic load may cause the system to hang.
- There is no issue when running `tcpdump -peni any host <IP address>` or running `tcpdump` when there is no traffic.

## Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

If you choose not to upgrade, as a **workaround**, use the `cpdump -peni any host <IP address>` command.
