Symptoms

On the output of the "top" and "ps auxw" commands on the Maestro Security Group shows high CPU utilization because of multiple instances of the "mq_mng -u" process.

Example:

ps aux | grep mq_mng

The "$FWIDR/log/dsd.elg" file on the Maestro Security Group contains this line repeatedly:

update_sp_mq_cache_file: about to run dynamic_split --z

Issue started after installing the R81.20 Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator Take 84, 89, 90, 92, or 96 on the Maestro Security Group.

Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included starting from:

Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20 starting from Take 99

Check Point recommends to always upgrade to the Recommended version.
