TP_CONF_SERVICE is shown as "running" or "terminated" in VSW (Virtual Switch) context

Symptoms

• TP_CONF_SERVICE may be shown as "running" or "terminated" in VSW (Virtual Switch) context, although it should not be running in environments with VSW.

Solution

This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:

• Check Point R82
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.20 starting from Take 43
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81.10 starting from Take 131
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R81 starting from Take 99
• Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R80.40 starting from Take 211

If you choose not to upgrade, Contact Check Point Support to get a Hotfix for this issue.

A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.

For faster resolution and verification, collect these files:

1. CPinfo file from the Management Server involved in the case.
2. CPinfo file from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member involved in the case.

After upgrading, run this command, replace " vs_id" with the relevant VS ID:

#cpwd_admin del -name TP_CONF_SERVICE -ctx vs_id -env inherit
