QoS policy is not installed after rebooting an R82 Security Gateway
Symptoms
After rebooting the Security Gateway or running
cpstop ; cpstart, the QoS policy is no longer present. You can verify the status of QoS with the command# fgate stat.SmartConsole shows an alert regarding the Security Gateway that contains thus error: "
QoS is not installed".The QoS policy is enabled and can be installed successfully.
It is not possible to fetch the policy with the command
# fgate fetch -f.
Solution
This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R82 starting from Take 73
If you choose not to upgrade, Contact Check Point Support to get a Hotfix for this issue.
A Support Engineer will make sure the Hotfix is compatible with your environment before providing it.
For faster resolution and verification, collect these files:
- CPinfo file from the Management Server involved in the case.
- CPinfo file from the Security Gateway / each Cluster Member / Security Group involved in the case.
