# After Jumbo Hotfix upgrade, certain User Space processes become unresponsive when working in Firewall Kernel Space Mode

**Product**: Security Gateways
**Version**: R81.20, R82
**Last Modified**: 2025-10-19

## Symptoms

- After Jumbo Hotfix upgrade, certain User Space processes (for example, PDPD) become unresponsive when working in Firewall Kernel Space Mode (KSFW).

The affected versions are:

- R81.20 Jumbo Hotfix Takes 111, 113, and 115
  - R82 Jumbo Hotfix Takes 36, 39, and 41

- The pdpd.elg file may contain: `'T_get_event: CP_FD_SETSIZE limit (32768) reached for socket/type: 36060/1'`
- HCP shows: `The process 'pdpd' (PID 'pid of pdp') has 'high number' file descriptors`.

## Cause

Jumbo Hotfix introduces changes that can impact the behavior of the User Space processes. These changes may lead to excessive file descriptor usage and a memory leak, causing the User Space processes to stop responding.
