Symptoms
- The active member of a ClusterXL unexpectedly exited
fwkanddmd_runrepeatedly exited and generated core dumps.- Log files (
fwk.elg) contained numerous errors related to Common Internet File System (CIFS) operations, such as failed tree deletions and hash table update failures. - The cluster operated normally between these unexpected exits.
Cause
The issue occurs during CIFS parsing; concurrent access to common resources by both fwk and dmd_run processes, resulting in a crash.
Solution
This problem was fixed. The fix is included in:
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R82.10 starting from Take 36
- Jumbo Hotfix Accumulator for R82 starting from Take 118
