Certificate Validation Failed: Adjusting CAA Record
Overview
This document outlines the steps needed to adjust your Certificate Authority Authorization (CAA) records to resolve certificate validation failures in WAF SaaS.
Steps to Adjust CAA Records
- Identify Your Domain: Make sure you know the domain for which you need to adjust the CAA records.
- Access DNS Management: Log in to your domain registrar’s DNS management panel.
- Locate CAA Records: Find the section where CAA records are listed.
- Add or Modify Entries: Based on the requirements, add or modify the CAA entries. Ensure they point to the authorized Certificate Authorities (CAs).
- Save Changes: Confirm and save the changes to the DNS records.
- Propagation Time: Note that changes to DNS may take time to propagate.
Validation
After making changes, validate the CAA records using a DNS lookup tool to ensure that they reflect the latest configuration.
